The Holographic Bookmark Club is a monthly book club presented by Catherine Weiss and Lauren Ledoux for the purpose of (re)reading chapterbooks from childhood and using them as springboards to engage in lively yet significant discussions on topics of today and yesteryear. The Holographic Bookmark Club is free to attend. Both “90s kids” and “90s kids at heart” are welcome.

Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt
What if you could live forever?
Is eternal life a blessing or a curse? That is what young Winnie Foster must decide when she discovers a spring on her family’s property whose waters grant immortality. Members of the Tuck family, having drunk from the spring, tell Winnie of their experiences watching life go by and never growing older.
But then Winnie must decide whether or not to keep the Tucks’ secret―and whether or not to join them on their never-ending journey.
We’ll be reading Tuck Everlasting in preparation for our first meeting and we hope you will join us! We encourage you to support local independent bookstores and make use of your local library! The Endopolis Poetry Room will also be acquiring at least one copy of Tuck Everlasting - if you’d like to borrow our copy, email Catherine!
PS - Just a reminder that Amazon engages in abusive labor practices. Don’t use Amazon if you can avoid it!
The space is small and set up like a living room. There is chair/couch seating for ~12, and floor seating for an additional ~5, and standing room/lurking in the doorway after that.
The Endopolis Poetry Room is in Suite 201 on the second floor of 40 Main St, an office building in downtown Florence, MA. To use the elevator, go in the doors under the Central Building / Main Entrance sign. Follow the hall back to the elevator and go up to the 2nd floor. Take a right off the elevator and follow signs all the way down (through a bunch of doors) to 201.
To use the outside stairs, first identify the North building and its exterior signage (it’s to your left if standing in the parking lot, facing 40 Main). There is an outdoor stairway next to the North building. Take it up to the 2nd floor. Once inside the exterior door there—you’ll be in an unheated lobby thing—201 is the door on your left.
IMPORTANT NOTE: To enter the 201 space there are three carpeted steps down. There’s no way around them, and there’s no railing. Let me know if you want to make a game-plan around this inaccessibility.
ANOTHER NOTE: There are gendered bathrooms for us to use in the building, down a long-ish hallway. They are near the elevator.
This event is 100% free, but we also accept donations.
